Liberty BVG/LPP Collective Foundation (“Liberty”) recognises that the personal data and financial information (the “Information”) which you may send to Liberty's website (the ”Website”) via internet is sensitive and should be treated accordingly. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the appropriate protective procedures put in place by Liberty to safeguard and secure the Information.

The Website may contain links to other websites which are not operated by Liberty and over which Liberty has no control (“third-party websites”). The Policy relates only to the Website. Liberty is not responsible for the content of third-party websites or for their data protection practices.

The Policy may be updated from time to time. The last paragraph of the Policy indicates when it was last updated.

The Policy does not affect the provisions of any agreement which you have concluded or may conclude with Liberty. Such agreements take precedence over the Policy.

In certain circumstances, Liberty transmits the Information as encrypted data (for example, in the case of the vested benefit transaction service). In that case, you will be advised separately. All vested benefit transaction communications are encoded using a 128-bit encryption technique.

Liberty does not collect any personal information on the Website other than that expressly and knowingly made available by you. In that case, we may use such personal information for marketing products and services which we think you may find interesting.

Liberty may use individual cookies to remember data, such as IP addresses or session numbers, about the use of the Website. The cookies serve primarily to manage or compile demographic data and to monitor the use and performance of the Website. Cookies can also be used to make the Website easier for you to use (by remembering passwords during a session, for example, or by recording your choice of country of residence).

Within the website, your personal data is transmitted and stored in a secure environment. We take all appropriate steps to ensure that your personal data is not accessible to third parties. Excepted are any third parties directed by Liberty to deliver services to you. Otherwise, data will only be disclosed to third parties if we are required by law to do so.
